Wirtshaus am Dom in Erfurt

A successful Christmas dinner ... Since we couldn't go out to eat in a Christmassy atmosphere, as is customary at Christmas, we brought the food home. We have picked up the duck legs and pork cheeks including the delicious side dishes for the whole family. Kudos to the kitchen, the food was excellent. Everything was perfect with a lot of sauce, just as the Thuringian loves it, even the children were enthusiastic. We can recommend the Wirtshaus am Dom with a clear conscience and will be happy to stop by as soon as we are allowed to. We keep our fingers crossed for you and hope that you survive the difficult times well. Stay healthy and hang on. We wish you a good and successful year 2021.

Food is good and so are the conditions. Is an average restaurant.

By chance we, as tourists who had just arrived at the cathedral, stumbled into this small but fine locality. And what can I say: sensational! Dumplings with roulade just tasted very, very good! The short waiting time and the friendly service are also excellent. And the very best: price / performance very, very good!

I can recommend the Thuringian Rostbrädl with fried potatoes with a clear conscience. Hardly ordered, we could already enjoy. In compliance with the hygienic conditions, the service was quick and friendly and an attempt was made to help those waiting and hungry ghosts without pre-ordering.

The bratwurst is crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, the mashed potatoes to sit in, the sauerkraut to kneel down and two women who are hosts. I'll be back!

A good inn visavis from the cathedral. You can also dine outside here. However, it is noisy due to the constant tram traffic. But the food was good

We ate well! The service was great and friendly: my wife and I shared a cup of seasoned meat as a starter. The portion was served to us separately in two small cups; complete with salad. The ox cheeks stewed very well, red cabbage and dumplings good. Sufficient sauce👍. The roast (?) With onions was also very good. Gladly again 👍

I was in Erfurt for a week in mid-July and ate there on 4 days. Everything tasted fantastic and especially the waitress was super nice, funny and open-minded. Since I think it's a shame that some food photos are posted very often and others not at all, I've uploaded the pictures of "Picandou" (honey-baked goat's cream cheese with a side salad and roasted baguette slices), which has never been posted, but really deserves it which is why I ate it a second time and then photographed it - even twice, once before dinner and once after the lettuce had been eaten. Big praise and my promise that when I come back to Erfurt I will come back. Since the weather was always good, I was always able to sit outside and enjoy the view of the Domplatz.

A restaurant with a great view of the cathedral, which is directly across the street. We were served quickly and friendly and the food was very good. The manageable (but completely sufficient!) Menu mainly offers delicious regional Thuringian cuisine.

Very good and delicious Thuringian cuisine everything was freshly prepared, you can sit inside and outside very comfortably, with a view of the cathedral square in Erfurt. Those who want to experience good Thuringian cuisine are in good hands there.
